newbie help - Guild Wars Forums

Hey. If i buy the first guild wars prophies and train a character on that and then buy a newer expansion like nightfall would i have to train a brand new character or would i still be able to use the one i firstly made?

As long as you add the CD key from your second campaign (or EotN) to your existing account, you'll have the opportunity to take your character to the new campaign. In the case of a Prophecies Character, there will be a quest available to take you to the new area in Lion's Arch - which is about 1/3 of the way through the Prophecies story-line.
